Golda
Scotland-Andrew was born in
Dominica, and grew up in
Salisbury. She is currently a
senior at American Continental
University, pursuing an
undergraduate degree in Business
Administrationand Management.
However, Golda’s passions in
life are writing and performing
music. She started singing at
the early age of seven, and has
since been developing her skills
as a songwriter and producer.
Her love of the many different
genres of music, such as Jazz,
Pop, Soul and Alternative has
led her to develop a style that
is both eclectic and unique.
Golda began exploring music as a
career while attending Miami
Dade College in Florida. There,
she attempted to audition for
her first singing contest, but
lacked the confidence to follow
through with the performance.
Gradually,
Golda overcame her
stage fright and began
performing collaborations with
hip-hops artists. She has also
performed one of her songs solo;
an experience which she claimed
was “excellent!” In addition to
these live performances,
Golda
has written and recorded the
theme song for Tyrella
Alexander’s (DJ Trauma) show on
the radio station Q95, which is
aired online.
Although the music industry has
brought along its share of
disappointments,
Golda is
confident in her ability to make
it as a songwriter and singer.
Her love of music and the
performing arts has gone a long
way in shaping the successful
young woman who she has become,
and Golda’s unique style is sure
to cement her as a premiere
writer and performer.
