Gregg Letang
aka
2Greedi was born in
the village of Pichelin on
October 9th, 1979 on
the southern part of the Nature
Island of the Caribbean,
Dominica. He was deemed a
musical junkie at a very young
age.At age 14, he
partnered with his cousins to
form a group consisting of disc
jockeys. As a group, they did
home recordings and toured the
island showcasing their
newly discovered skills.
However, simply playing music
was not enough. As a young man
growing up, he was inspired by
the sounds of Krosfyah, a very
successful band from the island
of Barbados. In 2004, he made
the transition from a Disc
Jockey into recording
artist/writer with his first
single I Want You Girl.
The response was overwhelming
and was proof that he had the
talent to become a successful
recording artist and writer.
His most memorable experience
thus far as an artist/writer was
when he performed his hit single
Hang Over in February,
2008 to a local crowd who was
moved by his energetic presence.
Though he is no stranger to the
stage, most people did not know
the song was local! The crowd
displayed a priceless reaction
upon realizing that Hang Over
was written and performed by a
local artist. Before all this
was possible he had almost given
up on his dream to become an
artist/writer because he
believed thathis writing skills
needed improvement. Through
encouragement from his brother
in 2006, he was motivated to
work his way to the top. Now, he
is aspiring to become a positive
recording artist/writer
determined to make a mark for
both himself and his country.
He is outgoing, down to earth,
funny and driven. He is
grateful for the support of his
family and friends who gives him
inspiration to move his talent
forward.
2Greedi
is determined to make a name in
the industry and set his home
island on the music charts,
locally, regionally, and
internationally. His motto is “I
am going to create a new sweet
sound.” One that is sure to
get recognized locally,
regionally, and internationally.
